Everyone should follow their dreams

Williams Racing CEO Jost Capito believes everyone should follow their dreams, regardless of their background. Here, from pit lane, he shares why he supports the Iceman Charity to give the orphans at Wat Sakaew their chance for future success.

Formula 1 driver and Ambassador Alex Albon had the idea to create a special version of his Williams Racing helmet at the Singapore Grand Prix to benefit the Iceman Charity. That helmet, designed by the young artists at Bangkok’s largest orphanage with the elephant good luck symbol of Thailand, raised an incredible £84,000! The children of Wat Sakaeo Orphanage are proud of their role in this special project and filled with happiness about its success. The luck of the elephant and the generous support of the sport of F1 shine brightly!

Die Iceman Charity ist keine offizielle Organisation. Die Iceman Charity ist eine Mission! Mein Wunsch ist es, ein Lächeln auf die Gesichter der benachteiligten Kinder zu bringen, die mir den Spitznamen „The Iceman“ gegeben haben.

Inspired by the plight of children at one of Bangkok’s biggest orphanages, I decided to bring them just a little joy. It started with a simple objective – give each and every one of the 2.200 orphans a taste of happiness: an ice cream treat. Their joy at this simple pleasure changed my life and I created the Iceman Charity.

At first, I would give the Wat Sakaew Orphans Foundation a percentage of my income to support its professional mission – the welfare of the children and their development into productive, well-educated adults. Later, friends, colleagues and clients got involved, helping to make an even bigger impact on the lives of these children.

Within the years we invested more than 67 Mio THB at the Wat Sakraeo Orphanage.

Jeder Erfolg hängt von der Führung der Hausmeister ab. Deshalb hat die Iceman Charity beschlossen, die fünf entscheidenden Rollen im Hausmeisterbereich zu finanzieren, um unsere Entwicklungen bei der Anleitung der Kinder und der Verbesserung von Reinigung und Hygiene zu beweisen – Direktor der Hausmeister, Leiter der Bangsadej-, Mädchen-, Jungen- und Kindergarten-Hausmeister.

Überdachter Spielplatz – Mädchenhaus

Alle Mädchenhäuser sind renoviert worden, aber es gibt immer noch keinen Platz zum Spielen an heißen und sonnigen Tagen. Bevor wir also die Jungenhäuser renovieren, möchten wir einen Betonspielplatz mit einem halben Fußballfeld und einem 8 m hohen Dach bauen.
